Pumpkin Patch

We celebrated my favorite season by visiting Carrigan Farms.  The weather was beautiful during our visit.  The tractor-drawn hayride to the pumpkin patch was peaceful and both Brady and Hudson sat and enjoyed the scenery (I know - a miracle!).  Once we arrived to the pumpkin patch, we were greeted by farm animals.  The boys had so much fun feeding the animals that we missed our ride back and hopped on the next hayride.  It was okay with us because it gave us more time to search for the perfect pumpkins. 

Day out with Thomas

Yesterday, we drove to Spencer, NC to see Thomas at the NC Transportation Museum.  This is one of Brady's favorite places, and with Thomas visiting, it couldn't have been better!  We rode on Thomas the train, met Sir Topham Hat, and watched all the model trains. 

 

Seattle in August

We had so much fun in Seattle!  Brady had the most fun and couldn't get enough of his Aunt Jenny and Uncle Brandon's property (seriously, it's like a park with a massive tree house, zip line, trampoline, hot tub and fire-pit).  We made smores, shot BB guns and jumped on the trampoline the first weekend.  Brady went fishing with his cousins and grandpa, while I was at Urgent Care with Hudson (he had an ear infection, which required laser surgery...he was miserable, but felt so much better after the procedure, and of course we left the following day.).  We also went to Northwest Trek, where we took a tram ride through the park and saw native animals (bison, buffalo, mountain goats, and many others).  And of course, we went on the Space Needle. 

Happy 1st Birthday, Hudson Reid!!

Hudson turns the big ONE today!  We started off the morning by singing and dancing to The Ting Tings' Happy Birthday song!  We opened presents immediately because Brady couldn't stand staring at the presents on the counter.  Brady helped Hudson open EVERY present (such a good big brother).  After Hudson's nap, we went to Music class and did more dancing and singing and then we headed to Chick-Fil-A where everyone had fun.  Hudson and Brady each got a gift from the manager and Hudson got some free ice-cream.  It was Hudson's first time eating ice-cream (he even used the spoon!)!  It was such a struggle to take away the melted ice-cream from Hudson, but Brady is a great distraction with his busy body.
It seems like yesterday we brought Hudson home from the hospital last July.  Back then, I never dreamed I would be able to sleep again...it sure goes by fast. Hudson amazes us each and everyday with his milestones.  Here are some of our favorite examples that we love:
